We’re so pleased that you are interested in becoming an IAM4kids mentor! We are currently recruiting mentors in the Lawrence County area. Future mentor opportunities in other communities will be posted by city/county.
Our Mentor Selection Process
To become a mentor, you must complete the following requirements:
- Application
- Interview
- Orientation
- School Board background check
- Commitment to meet with a child once per week for a minimum of one year
Support Every Step of the Way
Our mentors are our lifeblood and we are here to support you. When you volunteer with us, you will get great training and support throughout the year. Here’s what to expect:
- An IAM4kids representative is present with you during your match.
- Monthly call from IAM4kids
- Quarterly meet & greet with other mentors
- Annual appreciation banquet
